Todd, your conservative estimate of 225,000 copies of Quest is more than reasonable. It's a good starting point, yet easy to beat. The newsgroups and magazines have been screaming for any RPG on the N64 and Quest is getting nice pre-release buzz and coverage. I think it will be more like 400,000-500,000, but let's stick with your number for now. If THQ does ship 400,000 in Q2 then I assume Q2 looks a lot stronger vs. Q1 than your current conservative estimate.

We're going to have at least three more quarters of outstanding quarter-on-quarter comparisons. Meanwhile, the installed hardware base keeps growing at a fast rate.

Does anyone think Broken Sword will be pushed back a few weeks to Q2?

I'm a bit disappointed with distribution of MacPax so far. My two local shops have only one copy displayed between then where they normally would have about six apiece of a new, strong game. Perhaps the delay in the Mac release allowed the word to get out that the game isn't that strong. I'll continue to follow how the Mac gaming community takes to Pax.
