FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FRANKLIN INTRODUCES CYCLONE-F FAX SERVER

Newly Enhanced Product Complements Company's Tempest Data Voice Gateway
Server

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (March 2, 1998) -- Franklin Telecom Corp.
(www.ftel.com), a leading provider of telecommunications and Internet
telephony equipment, software and services, today announced the availability
of the Cyclone-F fax server, the first Internet Protocol (IP) tool with T-1
high speed digital telephone circuits, LAN router and integrated modem bank
functionality.

Vice president of sales, Peter Thornton, stated: "This product will make
life simpler and more efficient for all fax users. It's going to save them
substantial time and money. The ability of the Cyclone-F fax server to mix
and match voice, fax and modem lines in one easily manageable unit is a real
benefit to corporate IT and MIS managers."

The Cyclone-F fax server, combines Franklin's D-Mark channel bank with the
fax server application, Franklin's V.29/V.17 Class 1, 2 or 2.0, group 3 fax
modems, and Franklin's exclusive Franklin fax desktop software in a turnkey
system. The newly enhanced product complements the company's Tempest Data
Voice Gateway server which can be connected to the same ethernet LAN. The
fax server provides customers with Internet accessibility and web browser
management features that ensure that it fits into modern corporate network
environments.

The Cyclone-F connects to the LAN utilizing telco interfaces. A second T-1
card may be added for drop and insert applications. Since the voice and
modem cards are separate, a Cyclone-F can be field upgraded to swap voice
for Fax/Modem cards as company requirements change.

The Cyclone-F includes Franklin fax desktop control software, which supports
a printer-type output to the fax server. The Cyclone-F software operates
over IP networks, allowing users to connect to the server from anywhere in
the world over the Internet or corporate intranet, and send faxes directly
from their desktop. The user's task is simplified through control over fax
release, retry, queue entries and quick distribution list creation.

A special Web browser interface at administrator and user levels (with
security controls) permits support and configuration of the fax server from
any desktop in the network.

According to Frank Peters, Franklin's president & CEO, "We expect the new
gateway option, which allows fax delivery, to stimulate interest in a
variety of industries to use products like our Tempest to broadcast to off
shore locations via the Internet."

Shipping will begin April 1, 1998. The system price will depend on the
mixture of Fax, voice and modem ports. Turnkey retail pricing starts at
$3,380.
