hmm...a brokerage can recover quickly from bad derivatives deals, a bank can't...now I know why the banks are eager to buy brokerages.
It makes all of the little brokerages with computer-trading operations turn into tasty takeover targets.
Oh I just looked at my collection of value microcap funds and little brokerage stocks....I'm in heaven :-)
