look at # 231. can u answer the "SoftBank" question?

From the release (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/980224/ny_yoyodyn_1.html):

"Yoyodyne is privately owned with major investors including Flatiron Partners, Chase Manhattan Corporation, and Softbank Venture Partners."

You asked:

Are Softbank Venture Partners the same folks as Softbank Holdings, Inc. mentioned in the following article?

Exerpt from the article (http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/980224/expert_sof_1.html):

"Sega Entertainment, Inc. was formed through a joint venture between Sega of America and SOFTBANK Holdings, Inc."

I am pretty sure that these two (?) SOFTBANKs are different parts of the SOFTBANK that NETZ purchased SIM from. Ie they belong to 'the mother' company, not NETZs SIM. My take, anyone disgree?

Then this article (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/980227/ma_zd_comd_2.html):

"Ziff-Davis, a Softbank company, is high tech's leading integrated media and marketing company."

The article talks about Seybold which, to me, is a show about products for printing. From DTP-sw to printing presses (?). It feels like another 'lim' of the SOFTBANK 'mother'.

The SONY link is the same to me. SOFTBANK has a finger in most every media related pot. It will get easier to differentiate when SIM changes their name.

Good digging! Need more like that.
