8000 ? Don Quixote, the immortal knight-errant putting on his armor, called loudly to his faithful squire Sancho Panza. " Make ready Rozinante " There is a small trophy not to distant and we must not let soom scoundrel cheat us out of it,
and he added a triple 0 to his
collection then felt himself getting sleepy....

William,

Exactly what I was talking about. Its scary. Suharto appears on the face of it to have lost the plot, and I say that as someone who despite the corruption has a grudging respect for what he has achieved.

He's not stupid, it may be that he has some game plan, but he's playing for very high stakes and if he fails the resulting loss of confidence could destroy the place.

While there are few people actually starving right now, many are shell-shocked either by loss of their job and/or the massive increase
in the cost of living. There's an air of panic and unless some orderly solution, however painful, is presented soon things could turn very nasty

Curious that the administration is forced to convince the American people to finance SE Asian aid and at the same time convince the SE Asians that they need it.
