My reflections on Reflections:

This is from high school physics, but if I recall correctly, the aeromag surveys are probably obtained by flying a magnet over the ground and plotting how that magnet's field is distorted by other magnetic fields. You're actually detecting the strength and extent of the magnetic field in the ground by how it deflects the known field of the magnet you are flying. So the signature you get is not the real field but "only" a reflection of it. As Jesse points out, it's really just semantics. But interesting semantics insofar as Jackleg calls it poetic, yet it is also more accurate technically!
