Appears this is the case with NBC< ABC< and CBS. LGND just has to be one of the covered companies, you would think!

dwc, I can't recall exactly when Nixon launched his War on Cancer, but I think that it was about 25 years ago, so the stations may be doing a 25th year anniversary to look at the progress made (25 years ago may have been when funding actually began). I think that recent molecular advances have been outstanding, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to do a "popular press" type update at this time (most of the progress has been pre-clinical although new technologies are just beginning to have an impact).
