Jay: Due to constant negative press about commissions, I think it's a smart move to go to asset mgmt. If you put $50,000 of a client's money in mutual funds and it grows to $150,000, the customer is happy, the firm is happy. But really, how much of a benefit from that first commission and 12b1's did the broker get for establishing the relationship, servicing and advising the customer and family for life? Not to mention the CE credits. Hopefully, it will take some of the steam out of Money Magazine. Dominick
