Thats the problem with these academic types and this is why they develop theories on efficient markets. The are researchers, scholars, educators, not necessarily good traders or investors.

My objective is to get paid to put limit orders in on the stocks that I want to buy. I would never sell puts against stocks that I would not want to own today or couldn't afford to own. Selling puts is a great way of generating income and helping to insure against paying too much for stock that may head down.
