For all to understand...

Today's action was precipitated by a large seller, (the same seller who has been hanging over the market @ the 12 level over the past few months) asking for an "off-market" bid for 50,000 shrs. He still has 100,000+ to go. The market-maker firms responded by bidding him 8.5 for the piece and then distributed it unevenly to some strong handed institutional investors (mostly unencouraged by the fact that the seller still is not cleaned up) and some very weak traders who looked for a quick flip. The way the block was handled was obviously a disaster. The traders had no supporting bid to look at and correspondingly panicked and puked their stock. This was a poor sign to others who also became tempted to sell. The company's earnings were what was expected and the seller has TIRED of getting no guidance from the company. The company has acted so smugly (and paranoid, I might add) as to disencourage existing investors from remaining supportive for the future. The VSE and the Canadian houses that trade this name are no help and everyone has realized this.
Beleive it or not, the company's prospects are actually fine and new contracts appear imminent. They have an excellent product and are clearly a contender for Y2k problem solving on a large scale.
However, the senior management has adopted a stupid and dangerous policy of ignoring the public markets and offering little in the way of investor visibility for their product. They only recently agreed to allow anyone else to examine their working solutions for Y2k and have missed a critical window for exposure to the national forum for investor discovery. They won't talk to their investors, save for a select few, won't talk to any financial press, and won't engage in any active promotional discussion of their business.
I own a significant position,(20,000+shrs) in this stock and am losing faith quickly . It is a shame that they see fit to allow their egos to interfere with their business sense and , along the way ,shrink their investors confidence. I am pissed off at this act and thinking of ways to get proactive. I invite any and all opinions out there. I sent Pat Dittmer an e-mail months ago and was never answered. Was he sooo busy last quarter that he couldn't respond? The stock is weak and will probably remain that way until they get a match lit under their a.....s's. Angry any one?
