Kemble, of course there are skeptics. Dell is a company that is different than the bulk of manufacturing companies, but it's stock is basically the same. If the price goes higher than many people in the market believe it's worth it will attract short sellers and arbitrageurs. There must certainly be some price at which you would sell your stock.

Note that with very few exceptions, the shorts have nothing but positive comments to make about the company. So, it isn't about the company. They just believe that it is overvalued. I have valiantly tried to get them to commit to telling me what the "value" is and how they calculated it. Thus far, none has honored that request.
