Tim,
If you plan on using Waterhouse for daytrading, remember the "pending" issue that is so annoying. You may want to phone in your order if the stock is moving really crazy to be timely on the trade. They will give the $12 if you remind them. They have never challenged me with the $12 commissions yet.

Tim I hope you have better performance than I experienced in setting up a new account with waterhouse. They are in a real mess.......

I sent in a new account application a few weeks ago with a check for $15m. After several days (maybe 10) I called to see what was happening. They said they had me set up. Going over the initial call they had it set up as single not joint and a wrong sec. soc number....

I was referred to a help desk and got set up by Doug with the right sec soc number. This happened after doug called n.j. and later called me back in about 2 hours. Doug mentioned I could start trading but if any difficulty call them as they are now aware ofthe problem. The account was set up with the wrong soc sec so when they applied the check deposit something didn't match so the application and check went to a help/clearing desk. My check was placed in a safe for a week or up until my call. No one was working the accounts that where incorrectly set up.

About four days later I tried to get on line. NOPE....
I waited for over twenty minutes for someone to answer the phone (7:30pm). The rep said they have to initial the release so I can log on. After the release he said I was free to long on. I had him hold while I tried to log on as I didn't want to listen to music for another 20 minutes if any problem. Well I had to listen to music as they couldn't get me logged on and I needed to get transferred to tech serv for help. Another 20 minutes and help comes on the line. I explain my problem and also mentioned the screwed in the my soc sec. At least this was quick the tech fellow said they needed to change my soc sec number in the computer I guess its hard coded once entered.

I reviewed the account previously with Doug and everything was set to go. I waited another week for the blank checks to come so I could use the money.....NOOOOOO I called cust serv who sent me a nice letter telling me I was set up. In checking they hadn't set me up for checking etc although the forms where completed. New help problems was the answer and they are buried with new applications.

I asked about the transfer from Jack White and was told its in the works and check yesterday with Jack White no record of transfer request. Good luck John

Ps I sent an email a week ago complaining about time of phone an delay in cust account set up. I also wanted to know why the cash was sitting in the cash account and not the money market account. No response but the money as of last night is in a money market account.

I have most of my investments in ameritrade and will not transfer any more until I see improvements.
