Sox is stuggling to hold on at 310. I will buy puts if it closes below 310 as this is your critical level. I'm afraid Asia may hit the semis harder than we thought based on VLSI and AMAT's lowered sales numbers.

earnings comment: i work for an integrated oil/chemical company w/ a market cap of 9.4 billion... our plants have run @ 100% capacity for the last eleven years. we are now experiencing asia problems and will be cutting rates by 25-30% @ our largest and 2nd lowest cost chemical complex. on top of this, our capital budget is now being greatly reduced. i don't believe that my company will be alone in feeling the effects of asia.
