Mr. Gates has shown the approach (starting) with windows, browsers,
etc. to operate at a loss (windows was free to OEMs for several years
I believe). It isn't this little bill presentation and payment
processing business that MS wants. They want the big e-commerce
pie and to eliminate the need for banks in the process. That was
the conclusion of DOJ in disallowing the INTUIT purchase several
years ago.
