>>Why would a company take the expense of prodcuting commercials for Vapor! products with no oem. <<

As I said last night, Iomega is in desperation mode right now with Vapor! No OEM's have signed on. No one, not one other company has coughed up the $$$ to buy it. Iomega now has a pleaful web page up and running asking for someone, ANYBODY, to buy it as an OEM. The "ads" you describe show Vapor! how Iomega sees it- inside of phones, PDA's, etc. However, this is not reality. Vapor! is in nothing. It has been rejected numerous times, in all of its incarnations. The reasons are plain and simple.

Vapor! is not sturdy enough for field use.

Vapor! uses too much power.

Vapor! is susceptible to moisture and humidity.

Vapor! takes too long to write.

Vapor! is not the standard. PC cards are.

Vapor! is proprietary technology. PC card manufacturing is distributed among several companies.

Ads are meant to sell things. Iomega's Vapor! ads target OEM's.

No one is buying.
