Bingo. :) You have made my original point.

On top of that consider this: Domino's Pizza (a sort-of successful food service company :) gives you more coupons with every purchase. They are right there on the top of the box. And I believe that even Tom should use them when he orders a pie... I think coupons are a way of making customers into disciples, and that is an important difference.
