Its a ratio of up and down volume relative to advancers to declines so it is more an indicator of momentum if any. Today the trin was pinned for most of the day, which is why the market was so flat. Interestingly , lots of red on my screen with dell ibm and intc looking so weak, yet dow was ok and trin was untouchable thru the day. Q: What kind of machine were you using in that example, and does it update the TRIN constantly, I was under the assumption that the up/down volume was only posted a few times a day.?? That is a Reuters quote service, lanbased, professional etc. But i assume trin is something you can get on any data service. Maybe someone on the thread has it. Q: Do you know of any place that posts the TRIN during the day, that's affordable to someone not in a brokerage office.?? Ask IRBY. Regards, Steve@yamner.com
