"On your recommendation without due diligence on my part. I covered @ 22 5/8 and have moved on...."

Jeff, I don't mean to be impolite, but any of us who follow someone else advice without doing our own research deserves the outcome. This is a discussion forum, not an advisory service.

Have you? This is a public forum. Pancho is not giving advice, but rather sharing his thoughts. Did you pay him for advice? No? I didn't think so. Did you do your own homework before you traded? Yes or no, you only have yourself to blame. We don't need your warnings. If you want to argue the merits of an opinion Pancho has expressed on a stock, do so. Otherwise, get over it. And if you get this upset over a $1500 loss, I suggest you find a nice, conservative mutual fund and become a passive participant in the market.

To All: Short AVEI at 80. (Jeff I hope you don't take it as investment advice). In case you are curious, as I recently posted somewhere else, I am about 10% down from the high I reached in in November 97 and about 8% down from my 1998 high reached late January (my January high was only 2% under my November high, also notice that my 97 high was after the Asian crisis thanks to my short positions). Yes, the recent decline is mainly due to my BFIT and AOL short.

>>don't worry, I won't remind you of that fact any longer...<<

Reminding me is OK. The only thing I did not like about your post was the tone of it. Disagreement on opinions is fine, even encouraged.

Pancho

Jeff,

Bad day, eh? That attack on Pancho was uncalled for...nobody pulls the (trade) trigger but you.

This is a civil thread; let's keep it that way.
