TO ALL GIFS SHAREHOLDERS I'm backkkkk!!!! Frankly, didn't expect to be here (SI) but Ken sent me the TechStock address and I am willing to try out the 30 day free trial. I did send out an email to the shareholder group (had to knock some dust off it first) tonight. While I've been quiet (partly cuz I'm trying to find a new job) I've not been totally idle. My main pursuit (since so far no one has come up with a strong political connection) has been to attempt to locate Mo and the stolen assets I believe he generated thru the sale of illegally issued shares. With Ken's mention that he was in Jamaica, I am pursuing that lead as well, if for no other purpose than to establish dates and what ID and passport info he used. I've spent several hours tonight reading thru all the posts and responses, and they were most informative. I'd like to share a few thoughts with you. As a "professional" in the securities industry (40 plus years as an investor, and now ten within the industry as a broker and running the "back office" of a broker dealer), I am embarrassed at how I was scammed thru both my greed and my failure to do my due diligence. I can understand how people like both Mark and Ken got caught up in this mess, and frankly don't hold them accountable now. I commend Ken for coming forward and sharing so much "inside" info at this point. I hope we can all now focus on turning this new info into something usable, either for closure or for finding those truly responsible (and maybe even wringing some money out of them). Over six months ago, I said we had all we needed for a winning novel, and maybe even a soap opera and a movie if we only had some sex and mayhem. Well, Ken has now given us the mayhem with two murders, maybe not truly associated but I'm sure a good script writer can overcome that. Folks, this mess is bigger than all of us. With all my background, I doubt I could have done much better than Mark in avoiding being swept up in it. And so far I have seen no mention of him being "paid off", in fact if I recall correctly he lost money overall, so it appears to me he was also used. Phil Paone succeeded Mark as SAC Moderator, and his computer hardware problems then forced him out, and I agreed to take over temporarily as Moderator (which now seems too permanent for my tastes, but whatever!). There's been a lot of dialogue here for the past several days, with Ken sharing lots of new info (at least new to me), but I think it's time now to start with the constructive suggestions. As Shareholders, where do we go from here? I will try to check in here nightly (assuming I can find my way back!) but I already get 20 or so emails a day so time is a factor. If you have a serious suggestion on how we can reclaim our investment dollars, post here or write me at stkguru@netside.net. I won't promise an answer, but will read all my email. While I have already written off what I can of my GIFS investment in my 1997 tax return, I still would like to at least see those responsible for an out and out fraud held accountable, even if I get no money back. tom w
