Innuit,
Thats an interesting theory but there are plenty of stocks that go up 100+ points in a year and Ive never heard any mention of a "365-day runup selloff" soundbyte being applied by the investment community. Of course there is the "tax season profit-taking" soundbyte... maybe its that.

Overall though ctxs hasnt looked good in a while, my guess is bad news is coming? Hard to believe, I know, given the position of this company and its mkt segment.

Thanks to all the TA opinions.

Michelle

EDIT: I just noticed not only were we down 6 1/2%, but we were down on high volume. Are there any level 2s out there that can verify if this was a few large trades? If the funds start dumping, watch out below - but wait - does ctxs have any funds?

Nope, last year MSFT announced that they were in talks with CTXS
about their alliance. After the announcement, CTXS dropped to
around 9 3/4 interday but closed around 11.
It stayed there for around 4 months while news of the talks showed
MSFT to be taking a tough stance. Talking about either finding some
other company or developing the CTXS products in house.

Shareholder lawsuits were announced. How dare CTXS not tell their
shareholders that a large portion of their earnings came from the
MSFT alliance. Lawsuit thrown out in DEC 1997(?) when CTXS was much
higher. and MSFT renewed their alliance around May or June 1997.

What's the reason for it this time? Renewal of the MSFT alliance again?
