There are many irrationally exuberant younger, smaller investors on these threads. They are often bright but inexperienced programmers in larger companies. I suspect this is so for techmaster.

they often work with the technology of a particular company under discussion, and think it's so cool that it must be a good buy.

Seriously, I see no indications of any short term ORCL upside, and it sounds like lots of other people here are starting to also see that. I think it will drift downward until earnings. At that point, what will happen is dependent upon the depth of the drift, and the actual announcement. If earnings and revenue are in the range that I suspect, the stock will surely go back below 18 for a little while.

I am seeing more signs - like hiring delays (the wife of someone I know was on middle manager hiring fast track - all of a sudden HR said that all hiring was being "evaluated"). I'm hearing of sales reps on the street. I've not seen any guidance from management in several weeks.

I think we'll see 20 before 27. If I see 20, I'm out of my put position, even if it's before earnings. That should give me about 6X return in a few weeks.

All eyes will be on the 13th earnings
announcement and many will be wrong
about the direction of ORCLs stock.

This will be interesting FWIW I am
betting long - and expect a bumpy ride.
