On the complexity index a not as accurate but likely easier way would be to add the total capacity that is being used to do the smaller chips. Smaller does not nec. equate to complexity but suspect the correlation is good enough. With so many going to 0.25 I'd say complexity is moving on up.

Not sure if this is accurate but with roughly 150 billion in sales and an ASP of around 2 dollars, your Complexity Index's denominator is:

75 Billion chips. (don't quote me)

[or 140,000 chips / minute every minute of the year...]

On the numerator side somehow must equate 37% (DPMI's share) to total number of photomasks etc...
