Jay:
I don't think a broker gets the full amount. He/she gets a percentage of total commissions and I imagine, a percentage of wrap fees. The broker/dealer gets most of it.

When you say the broker does "NOTHING", it implies no periodic reviews of a customer's financial goals or changes in their financial condition, no ongoing financial planning advice, no monitoring of the money manager and their investment objectives and no hand holding when the market tanks for the normal 22 months. And, since the financial field doubles in knowledge every year, no keeping up with changes in tax codes & financial products.

Don't think so,

Dominick
