I think there are plenty of parallels with the 1960s as well.

Of course all analogies are misleading but sometimes it is hard to think without them.

The main facts to keep in view have to do with what common stocks can reasonably represent as wealth or be likely to produce as wealth over the next ten years. And every measure points to terrible overvaluation. Which is not to say that it can't go even higher, as we have all learned far too many times already.
