Hi Byron:

Before commenting on your questions let me say that I, like you, am a retail investor and just act on my own understanding of what I think would be the market trend! This simply means that I may very well totally and competely be wrong!

So having said that let me comment on your questions:

> Is it a good time to load up SUNW yet? Where do you think is
the bottom for SUNW? 40-42? high 30's?

I believe SUNW will hit the mid to high $30's sometime within the next 2-3 months. I am planning to buy back if and only if SUNW hits $36-$38/shr (and at this time I see no reason why it will not go to that low. But then again as you know things change so rapidly!) When and if SUNW hits $46-$38 range I will be buying aggressively again.

> whatever price we are at on 3/31/98, the day you predict the
> market will be at the bottom of the tech sell off?

I did not say the bottom of the aniticipated sell of will be 3/31/98. I said I believe the sell off of tech stocks will start in about 1-2 weeks from now (if not sooner) and will continue through end of May (or around that time). Bascially what I believe to be the case is that after Q1 earnings come out, sell off will start to take place and I do not anticipate to see a bounce back untill near the end of Q2 or after Q2. The best time to buy will (IMHO again!) be at the end of Q1 earnings announcement (between end of March and end of May). The idiotic sell of of techs will be at its maximum during this period.

> How many % of you porforlio are cash now?

I downloaded a good chunk of my portfolio this morning (including some more of my SUNW shares) and as of now I am 60% in stocks with 40% cash. I am planning be only 45-50% in stocks and 50-55% in cash by the end of March.

> What is a good entry point for MSFT? I put a Good-Till-Cancel
order of 78 for MSFT, do you think it's high, about right, or low?

MSFT is the only stock I intend to keep and not sell at all. I believe MSFT is a bit ahead of itself right now (but and as hard as it is to believe by not much). A good entry point for MSFT in my opinion is $78-$81/shr. But during the tech idiotic sell off that I anticipate to take place MSFT may come down to the $67-$68/shr at which time I, personally, am planning to add to my existing shares and buy very aggressively.

> How about INTC, how low it will go?

As for INTC, I believe we will see the low $70's again. I currently have no INTC but will buy some if it gets to the low-mid $70s again. But I think MSFT will be a much better buy than INTC (if you want to concentrate on the Wintel camp), or I believe AMD will provide a much bettr gain (percentage wise) than INTC.

> What other stocks you have?

Currently I have the following stocks in my portfolio in the order of weight dollar wise and as apercentage of my total stock portfolio:

LSI Logic, MSFT, AMD, SUNW, ASPX, SPNSF, IBM, ASND, ADIC, COMS, TXN, and HWP. In order to raise more cash to the 50-55% level I want, I am planning to sell HWP, and some TXN (most likely by the end of this week).

Meanwhile, there is absolutely nothing wrong with holding on to cash in a money market account and getting appx. 5.3% interest (despite the fact it feels very strange - to say the least and to me anyway - since it has been over 7 years since I have had this much cash without putting it to some work for me via stocks)!

As always all stated is just my humble opinion.

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi

Well... As I expected high techs are going to be hit very hard starting tomorrow (and actually a couple of weeks sooner that I had anticipated):

From briefing after the close of market on 3/4/98:
Intel Corp (INTC) 86 7/16 +1 1/8: chip giant warning that it expects Q1 revenues and net to fall short of Street estimates; expects a 10% sequential decline in revenues from the $6.51 bln reported in the 4th qtr, or approx. $5.86 bln; puts gross margin at 53%; cites weaker than anticipated demand for the shortfalls....

Tomorrow high techs will be hit badly, but IMHO the best shopping time is not here yet! If you are in a shopping mode wait a couple of weeks, and start buying SUNW, MSFT, IBM, LSI, AMD, TXN beginning the end of March through perhaps end of May. The returns 6-12 months after that, will put a huge smile on not only your face but also your grand children's faces and their generations to come!

As always just my humble opinion.
