it doesn't make sense to buy the stk and puts when you can sell a put and buy a put.
this equals buying the stk and selling a covered call and buying a put.
it's chaeper and more profitable and ensures next to no risk if you find one you get credit 8 for.

if you already own the stk then sell cc and buy put.
otherwise in this market only sell a credit bull put spread.
