That was the 'fundamental reason' WRN hit $2.25. Everyone (IR, Internet writers, advertising) started talking it up all at once and potential investors got hyped into a frenzy. The company at that time was in the process of raising cash via share offerings to make the future acquisitions. They hired the fast talking, promotional salesman (Ron Kalfon) to generate interest. Interest they did generate, stable share price they did not. Whether this was good for the long term, who knows. It did allow a financing at 0.80 and this money was used to acquire Taylor rigs which should be posting in the black soon. More time will tell but I like how stable things have become. The future looks bright.

Nathan, as Ryan stated that was the "fundamental" reason the price skyrocketed, there just was no justifiable "business fundamentals", so it didn't stay there. Now I'm not saying the company had no concrete fundamentals, just that the price got way ahead of them. They seem to have an understanding of what happened and are interested in following a much more sustainable growth pattern from here on out.
