Ron, I know what you are trying to show, and it may be quite valid. I was simply pointing out how it can be done rigorously. If you like, send me the raw numbers and I can do the analysis, or, if you prefer, I can walk you through the analysis. I think you've raised a very interesting issue that we can explore in some depth. If you really found leading indicators this could be very profitable for trading purposes, (and I'd have to apologize to all the market timers for suggesting they were hallucinating).
