It is a monopoly, and it has never demonstrated a reluctance to
doing whatever is necessary, including effectively bending the law,
to do what it needs to do to destroy its competition.


I see some small signs of reform. Not sure if these are short
term tactics or a long term adjustment of ways. On a personal
note I have noticed that carpoint.msn.com does not
tell me that you need a IE browser to look up the contents.
Any link inside investor.msn.com used to give this page
long message reminding me the folly of my ways for not using
IE browser and being able to make full use of their site. Now
it has a more low key message pitch at the bottom of the page.

Microsoft to allow promotion of other browsers

business deals it has with about 40 Internet service providers
and allow them to promote Internet browsing software made
