My understanding is you can buy below spot, even with delivery charges and commission. At least my broker at James Cook told me that today. I recall the price for a full bag (720 ounces silver content) of junk dimes or quarters was around $4,500 or $4,600 - I didn't write the amount down.

Sorry, Dave. I know nothing about silver coins, although I possess a bag of C$1s and C$.50 pieces in good (but not mint) condition. I'm trying to find out how to clean the tarnish off some of them though. Let me know if you have any ideas. Best luck in your own quest! Harry K.
