Thanks for the response. The initial pricing appears steep. I can't wait to see some reviews/benchmarks.

What do you think is the performance difference between a chip with L2 chip running at the same clock speed as the CPU, but external to the CPU, compared to a chip with L2 on the die (like the Mendocino and the upcoming AMD chip). Assuming the L2 size is the same.

I understand that it depends on implementation, but is there anything inherently better in including L2 on the die?
