Bottom line is that NT is the platform for CT applications period. There is very little market for SUN.

Well, that's nonsense, pure and simple. NT does not scale and they are struggling to cluster two servers. NT is not reliable enough to run 7/24 systems and they don't support hot-swap either. So it's not simply end-user equipment which will use Java (which you apparently just discovered causing you to change your argument to call centers) but large-scale systems from Sun Microsystems. As for the efficiency of Java GUI applications, they are now within 10% of C++ and that's due to the inherent security, garbage collection and multi-threaded aspects of the environment.
