Alex,

Speaking as an end user, I have been waiting for the price of these babies to come down and the product to be improved as well. I would think the market is there, but, JMO.

I would think they would be trying to develop one that writes faster is all.

P. Micro has such a black eye with the investors it may be real tough to change their minds. Now it appears to me it has some Day Traders working it up and down and solid investors don't like that much.

Here's an external TEAC , with Adaptec card, S/W "and more" (not a stand-alone drive) for $489 street price.

Recordable CD-ROM media is pretty cheap these days, so that doesn't add much value to Pinnacle's product. Pinnacle MSRP of $599 ~= street price of $500.
If you look at the two data sheets there's not any differentiators here!
