>>...what an installment receipt is

My memory's a little fuzzy about the exact prices, but here's how it works: when Munk decided to unload his Trizec holdings in ABX, the offering was priced at $28.40 CDN. As a sweetener, buyers only had to put up $14.20 in cash and were given a receipt which enabled them to put up the other half in one year and receive 100 ABX. In essence they are warrants (although we would call them deep-in-the-money options).

Good to hear from you, ole 49r.

Happy trading.
