Don your guess is a good one ...

How about many small/big operators going for this stock a tick at a time and buying up at a reasonable price. The stock price is extremely low and interest is increasing. I also meant reply to the post prior to yours.

By becoming an OEM manufacturers of the catheter/stent line of products i feel American Bio med has decreased its profit margin at the same time their operational effectiveness and cutting costs down the lines of production is significant when you look down the road. Also what this means for other smaller companies engaged in marketing/distributing this line of products is they will have no overheads in manufacture and rely on someone else to make it for them.
besides a solid product they will have the opportunity to shave some expenses as they can place orders as needed governed by their supply and demand scenario.

What it Means to American Biomed ?

They will have smaller profit margin on every unit sold but overall profit may steeply increase in OEM scale manufacture due to heavy orders if they are booked.

What does it mean for the companies who buy from them ?

They will be able to better market these products and concentrate on marketing strategies for these products and not waste their energies in manufacturing facilities and huge operations. Also they will be more aggressive in the target markets and be winners in the long run both as distributors as well as manufacturers and earn a good reputation.

What it means to big giants like Baxter, and other companies mentioned by North Star:

ABMI will be a constant pain in their butts as smaller companies will be able to compete with these giants and will be more cost effective. That will drive the price of the product down significantly like we are having price wars in computers. Thats exactly why ABMI is a good turning point situation and is an excellent candidate for takeover...I have my few cents locked in this puppy and hope others share the similar lines of thought and hope that something good happens in the future that will make us proud investor in this company.

Regards,

Sri.
