Shane, sorry to cause an alarm. Kurlak has rattled enough cages for one day and I certainly was not intending to add to it. Must have gotten some pretty sorry folks on the phones at DELL and NEC: put that together with the PC WORLD magazine article (Jan '98, page 195) and drew the wrong conclusion. Will shop on their web sites instead! Still think you check that article out though. Even if Creative and others have been shipping DVD kits for a while, the PC folks think you should be damn near an electrical engineer to install one. Plus warnings to make sure you get a 2nd generation DVD, not much software available, etc. Compliments for the product for sure, but a tortuous road to get there and kind of "wait a few more months" conclusion. Again, sorry. I ain't no flamer. Mike Doyle
