GARY, in response to your question, I can assure you that I am still alive and well. However, as I have informed others previously, I never have been on the payroll of TTRIF. My involvement has always been as an engineering consultant paid on a daily rate basis when needed. I have not actively participated in the discussions on the SI thread recently because I do not believe in mud slinging. I don't believe it does anyone any good. Furthermore, I have been so busy with other projects that I have hardly had time to scan the thread. I decided to post only when I have something constructive to add. Now I believe I have something of interest to all. I took some important visitors to see the Hamilton plant last Monday, and I can give you a brief update of construction progress there. The evaporator is now complete and Rosenblads engineers have completed the commissioning. Condensate is now going down the sewer instead of centrate being trucked to farmers. Additional fats and protein are now reclaimed for improved product quality. The plant expansion is progressing on schedule with the roof installed, exterior walls erected and concrete floor slabs poured in place. The additional tanks, piping and equipment are ready to be installed next. I expect the expansion phase to be completed within about two months. I should add that the visitors were very positively impressed and they support installation of a Thermo Master plant in their region. I expect to see a positive influence to the bottom line at Hamilton during the next quarter. You already know that Richmond construction is well underway, although some didn't think it could be done without a building permit. As I previously explained, they can do a lot of excavation and site preparation before pouring concrete -- that is when they need the permit. And that permit is now in process. I still believe that Oshawa, Niagara, Halifax and Ft. Devens have a 95% probability to be in construction also during the summer of 1998, despite all of the negatives I have heard on this thread. Also, I have talked with U. S. Filter executives in New England and know they are proceeding with plans for additional projects with TTRIF in Massachusetts. I will let others speculate about Poland, but otherwise I think 1998 will be a good year for TTRIF. Best regards, Cliff Maki
