Sometimes, in many cases, companies opt to develop brand new software, along with buying new hardware, to completely solve the YR 2K problem. That is, throw out the old software and hardware, then bring in the new.

You might want to check this thread out on SI, if you really think that there is no Y2K problem! Somebody, and I mean a long list of countries, companies and people believe there will be a problem!
