You, the taxpayer, basically report options the same way as you do STOCKS -- unless the option is exercised.

One SIDE of a CBOE option transaction is generally not reportable. Only when you CLOSE the option, or it is EXPIRED do you report.

If EXERCISED then it is part of the reporting of the STOCK.
