Well It would appear that that report was not correct.
CPQ has an inventory problem right now.
CPQ stuffed the channel with masive buy-ins at the end of the quarter.
as the VAR's sold off that inventory CPQ has experienced slow sales and is expecting the quarter to be heavily weighted to the last month.

This is what happens when a company stuffs.

Perhaps those retailers are compalining about not being able to get enough AMD K6 inventory...

We all know that CPQ had a great quarter. Revenue was light compaired to some analysts estimates.

As for units sold in Jan, it would seem that Earl Mason does not think it was very good.
Last Revenue growth for 1997 is ancient history now.
