Dell is an excellent business man but he might as well be selling and servicing golf clubs. Even the guys who design and manufacture styrofoam shipping peanuts and bubble-wrap are more technologically innovative than Dell Computer. I liked McNeally's observations on the chances of another OS supplanting Windows: I think we would have better luck changing the national language to Dutch! He went on to state that they were focusing on intelligent devices, servers and those areas where Microsoft had not yet established a monopoly. Did anybody count the number of times Barksdale and McNeally used the term Monopoly? They did an excellent job of rubbing that in.
