i would submit those
refinements/corrections to
the internet publication;
i believe it is fairly new...
or,
at least to the author, who
may then publish a correction...

Your comments are interesting. I went and did some research on the processors because of it. My findings didn't quite match yours. If you can give me links to information which contradicts mine, please do.
I've been through the tech docs for the P II, K6 and 6x86 (as well as MediaGX) chips. While the K6 is definitely a RISC core, I have seen NO indication that the P II is... It is based on the Pentium Pro core, and I have read both of their data sheets and seen no mention of a RISC core or data translation. Also, the Media GX has almost no processor information, but I personally consider it a hybrid. However, it seems that the contention is that the smaller Die size is responsible for the lower power usage (or is the greatest factor) Also, the benchmarks I've seen show very similar Win 95 benchmark scores. Though not stellar, they are solid. (for the C6)

In terms of games using floating point, Quake and Quake II both use FP numbers heavily, as do all true 3D games and as 3D games are increasing in numbers, so there are more and more games using the FPU. There was actually a large stir in the gaming community about the very slow performance of the 6x86. To the point that people didn't buy them because of their Quake perfomance.

I would think that the K6 status should be cleared up, but unless you have a link about the P II (which I would like to see please... no hostility.. curiosity) it seems the article is correct.
