Wasn't Kurlak the one who warned everyone last year of the excess inventories and capacity in the DD sector last year....those stocks did rally after that but were crushed 5 or 6 months later...

just a thought...

Tulvio, my concern is that DOW may be ripe for correction, and that a decline in DOW may affect the technology stocks. For comparisons, look at the trading patterns during the week of Jan 5-12.

Kurlack had been negative on semis for a while - I think this is his third attempt to push the sector down in the last three months. His record for predicting industry trends is questionable (MU thread is filled with anti-Kurlack posts), but everybody admits that he is good in manipulating the markets. This probably explains the timing of the last call.

Despite my resolve to stay away from the semiequips today, I have established a small position in SFAM. Will have to do some reading in the evening. Also managed to close my LRCX short at 27 7/16 - somebody was bying all the stock offered at 27 3/8 in a down market.

Good luck,

Y.
