Stockman,

What AMD and CYRX/NSM supporters fail to realize is that Intel controls pricing in the x86 market. Intel will not allow either company to make serious inroads in percentage of market share. It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out who goes belly up first as the result of a price war. AMD in particular, as a stand alone chipmaker, cannot go toe to toe with Intel. The issue is not the product, but deep pockets, fab capacity, and marketing muscle.

If I owned AMD or NSM, I would wish Intel continued success because a healthy overall market is the only one in which small players can thrive.

Regards, JB
