Henry,

If Ligand could combine the two P2s and file the NDA, it would be a big positive 'surprise' for the market. ( Of course, now the possibility is in print, so maybe the market will begin to anticipate it happening.) Has anyone you are aware of (big pharma, perhaps) done that before?

I must also say that I would be shocked if the upcoming news flow fails to attract more coverage from at least several more large WS firms.

Regards,

wtd

Hi Henry! I guess the Amylin debacle today underscores the
fact that single drug biotech companies are the riskiest investments.
Gotta love the Ligands, Genzymes, ISIP ,etc that have multiple products and technologies. By the way, did you see how well the
major biotech stocks did today in the face of the AMLN meltdown?
AMGN, BGEN, et al all up strongly. Do you think this was short covering, now that the bad news is out on a high profile co. (AMLN),
on the theory that the next biotech headline could be the positive
news that reignites the group? Or did the shorts panic when the entire group did not tank on the bad news from AMLN?

Henry is a P3 a sine qua non for FDA approval? If so, how could LGND file an application for oral Pannretin based on two P2 trials? Or is it the case that you just need a certain amount of data tracking results under certain conditions?

As for LGND's website, they will be hard pressed to provide the info that yours does!

Well, not much to do as LGND marches inexorably higher.
