Dear wallstreeter: Something so sticks out in my mind that you posted the other day that I cannot shake it off. >>>His path isnt the easiest to follow but his rewards to us are so much greater than anything we could ever hope to give to the lord. he didnt have to give us the chance to be saved , but im sure glad he did :) .<<<< I tried to find the exact verse in Genesis that recants how God had decided to give his Son to the world before the foundation of the world was laid, but couldn't find it. My conclusions based on this fact is that God, knowing the fall of mankind would happen. still ordained his son to die for the sins of the world; so he went ahead with his plan of creation. Scientists will tell you that the universe began with a big bang, at a single point no bigger than the head of a pin; so all matter was created in a flash; a mere pin point in an abyss. I don't mean to ramble but this is my point. Our view of GOD as seen through Christ is a passionate, loving, healing, restoring, blessing, GOD that sees right into the very soul of a person, but for those whom worked against Him and for those whom denied his origin, to them He confessed the severest of warnings. Now my question is this? Did Christ simply (for example the pharisees, the money changers, the scribes, the saducees) despise these people and did they not bring out his anger in such a way because , of his deep dislike for them as individuals or was there another agenda at work. And I feel my answer has deep implications for those who feel estranged from God. Also could the anger( maybe displeasure would be a better word) be brought out by a sense of frustration that a plan for rememption was not going as planned, or that his displays rendered somehow his " enemies" to nought! I know I am bring up enough points here to last a lifetime but let me give my views on a few points and let a few linger with a few more questions. Did the verbal retorts to pharisees , the saducees and the scribes and priests represent a personal attack against each individual, an in your face representation of disgust? IMO, NO, NEVER, not my God. It was what they stood for. While He was baiting them to crucify him; they at the same time denied his godliness; therefore denying him the foundation of the cross, and the "work"( sacrifice) that was made there( accomplished there). Therefore if there are individuals out there that feel estranged from God; as if to think it is something personal, take my word for it, it is not personal . That person may be denying the cross, may be denying the sacrifice, may be denying the godliness of Christ, but it not personal, God does not hate you ! He loves you. But somehow someway He must get you to understand where you are missing the mark. So what better topic to address in Lent, with the advent of Easter. I just hope and pray, wallstreeter that someone would read this and understand; you have a heart for God ! I thank God so much for you. Your testimony has meant so much to me. May God bless every step you take, every breath you make !!!! In Christ..gregor
