Missed the speech, but thought he was effective in the Q&A. He even managed to work in his one-liners in a civilized way. It's beyond me why he let's it get so nasty normally. Today's performance was much more thought provoking IMO. I suspect that he is normally so fierce and nasty is because that is the way to get into the press. With today's medium, the press is already there in droves, so he can tone-down his rhetoric. It's the same reason that Chihuauas are so loud and nasty -- because they have to be to get noticed.
