Bindusagar, my quick calculations shows that this FTE deal could be HUGE !

According to the news they have 60 % of Frances internet business. And the growth rate is 100 % y/y. There are approx. 60 million people living in France. If 10 pct. of the French use internet daily (let's say in 2 years time) that means FTE has 3.6 million daily users.

Currently here in Finland there are 8 % daily users and 16 % weekly internet users. I understand that it's the highest rate in the world.

France has a long history of state monopoly companies. FTE is one example of 'em, it's going to be THE player in the French internet business.

One more thing, they have this "Minitel" system in France. It's an obsolete, proprietary information system where a user can order cinema tickets, airline tickets, check the latest news etc. FTE has more than 7 million Minitel terminals. Bottom line, the French are accustomed to use Minitel, now they are replacing it with the internet.
