I hope I didn't upset you with the comments about BellSouth. There are a lot of sharp people in there, but the inefficiencies between different departments could really be improved. "Open" programs we have to interface to as a reseller of BellSouth services and as a consumer are still done with someone asleep at the wheel. Case in point; a new program for resellers to use for data circuit pricing was taken off of Lotus Notes and made to work with Netscape ONLY. Hello!, knock, knock, knock. Anyone home? Why would the whole data sales agent "open" program interface be written in a way such that if Bill Gates had done it, he would be taken before congress.
