DOg,

I was going to ask if you had your puppies yet, but I guess not. You did have a great day, though. We all did. Gotta love RON!! NE blew through 30, and MDCO was strong too.

Man, oh man, this feels like sunshine after weeks of gray clouds and rain. I won't forget to fix the roof this time, though. Premiums are juicy, so stay nimble!!

I've been spying on this excellent thread for about a month now.

The sector moved with the dow early this morning instead of with oil. Fashionably late to this party, I bought RIG EVI and FGII which are now my core holdings. It's nice to join you all.
When the dow stopped and the drillers kept moving I picked up NE.

In my not so humble opinion ;' ), there is little downside now and a long-term uptrend has started. A further modest drop in oil is already expected by the market, so I am not concerned unless oil hangs in the $12 range for awhile, which I believe is unlikely based on historical precedent. And we also know that deepwater projects are strong and long-term, and shallow water projects are enjoying firm natural gas prices and rig utilization rates in excess of 96%. I do think we're in for some good times ahead, but of course, do keep one eye looking over your shoulder.

PS Oh by the way, Q gave me a new speedboat this afternoon called TMAR. He muttered something about the jet engine coming online tomorrow.
Hmm, maybe if I push this button...
Oops, TARANTULAS!
